She's just one of those people you instantly trust even though you're in a very vulnerable situation. She has this calming and bright presence about her and I would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat! She loves what she does and she cares about your needs.
"Some of my favorite moments of my birth were with Jaely... she gave me complete faith that I could do it. Overall, she was a huge reason I was able to have the unmedicated, empowering, and beautiful birth of my dreams.”

My Why...
Ever since my own pregnancy, prenatal care, birth and postpartum experiences, I've become fascinated by and incredibly passionate about bringing awareness not only the physiology of pregnancy and birth, but the unspoken aspects and realities of postpartum - both physical and emotional. When COVID-19 hit, resulting in a very familiar sense of isolation and ‘cabin fever,’ I couldn’t shake the feeling that birthing and newly postpartum parents need more support than ever.
I have become increasingly passionate about helping birthing people tune into, trust, and find their voices to advocate for what their inner knowing is telling them, as they navigate a culture that can easily pull them away from their own invaluable wisdom. I believe in the importance of information, consent, affirmation, and preparation in wholeheartedly moving through the pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journeys.
I have experienced for myself the difference between feeling seen, heard, supported, and informed vs. feeling dismissed, judged, abandoned, invalidated, and ignored during this incredibly vulnerable time. It is so important to me that birthing people be lifted up, affirmed in their insights and experiences, and encouraged as they cross this life altering threshold.

Signature Birth Doula Package
Includes:
1 Complimentary Consultation
An introductory meeting, where you and I will meet to learn more about each other. We will discuss your pregnancy, how things are going, what your hopes are from a doula, and any questions you may have, in order to determine if we are a good fit. This in person interview takes place via Zoom, and is free of charge.
Pregnancy Support from the Time of Signing
Immediately after the contract is signed and the retainer fee is received, you will begin receiving regular emails from me, outlining what you should be considering as you move through your pregnancy and prepare for baby. I will also be available as a resource and support to you, via phone or email.
2 Prenatal Planning Appointments
During these appointments (either via Zoom or in-person at my home office in Manassas), we will discuss the stages of labor, your birth wishes, labor positions, comfort measures, interventions, and what to expect – so that you can feel prepared and confident leading up to your birthing time. During our second prenatal, we will create your customized birth plan, and discuss variations
in how birth can go. This is also a great opportunity for us to get to know one another better.
In Person Labor and Birth Support
Once labor is established, I will meet you at your chosen location- whether it be the hospital, birth center, or your home.
As labor progresses, I will provide you with the empowerment, comfort and support you desire throughout labor,
and to stay by your side during the birth.
Once your baby is born, I typically stay for the 'Golden Hour' and can assist in skin-to-skin bonding for you and your baby, the first feeding session, and help you to get comfortable.
1 Postpartum Follow-Up Visit
After you settle in at home as a new family, we will schedule a postpartum home visit to take place within the first 2 weeks of baby's life. During this visit, I will check in with you to see how you are doing both physically and emotionally, and debrief from your birth experience. We will discuss how feeding is going, and I will answer any newborn care questions you may have. I can provide referrals to community resources if needed as well.
Additional Resources
Our Signature Birth Doula Package includes FREE access to the Spinning Babies Parent Class, and the Motherboard Parent Birth Planning App ($100 value).
I also offer private, in-home childbirth education classes at a discount (optional add-on) to go more in-depth, if you desire.
